Flagg, John - Root Cellar
This arched cave is built into a pronounced raised mound to the northeast of large stone home at the base of Bluemont hill. It was apparently the root cellar and storm shelter for the original homesteaders and now serves as extra storage. The mound itself has been turned into a terraced garden. The interior of the cave is entirely plastered over and even sports a small second room just past the front doorway. The cave opens to the south and is approximately 12'(L)x6.5'(W)x7'(H).
(Original scouting pictures of cave are missing so these images are being used temporarily)
