Poole, John - Root Cellar
This arched cave is located to the north of Old K13 in a patch of forest near a few other stone foundations but no other standing structures. It is built into a slight slope of a hillside with a bit of a raised mound above it. It walks out to the southeast via a couple steps. The cave is made of very large cut and jointed stones with a very prominent retaining wall for its front façade. The back wall of the cave has somehow started to collapse. This is odd due to it’s position on the hill. The cave measures 15’(L)x8’(W)x 6.5’(H).
